Meet Ziggy, our March 10th Beach Buddy!
"Ziggy is an 8-month old Chiweenie, Chihuahua Dachshund mix. He is what we call an owner-surrender. The owner’s circumstances changed and she felt she could no longer care for Ziggy. She wanted to do what was in his best interest. She posted him on Craigslist (which could be a dangerous thing to do) but someone from Abandoned Pet Rescue saw the post and contacted the owner. She was happy to surrender him to a reputable rescue to ensure he will get a wonderful home.
He is with one of our foster’s now receiving lots of love.
Ziggy will need basic training so he does not develop any issues when he is left alone. He is working on his housebreaking skills. Ziggy is loveable and energetic.
If you are interested in meeting Ziggy you can visit Abandoned Pet Rescue at 1137 NE 9th Avenue in Ft. Lauderdale. We are open six days a week: Wednesday - Sunday from 12 noon to 5pm. (Closed Tuesdays). Or fill out an adoption application on our website: www.abandonedpetrescue.org. Please note that in the best interest of all animals our adoption process is more rigorous than that of most other organizations. So be patient and know that we want to help all our 300 animals find forever homes."
