The Scripps National Spelling Bee wrapped up yesterday in a TIE. The first time in over 50 years. The winners, two young men, Sriram Hathwar and Ansun Sujoe went for FIVE rounds before the moderator declared them both winners.
They both win the grand prize which is $30,000 in cash, a $2,500 U.S. savings bond, a complete reference library from Merriam-Webster, and $1,200 worth of reference works from Encyclopaedia Britannica.
